In a few hours it is possible that a totally innocent and defenseless women will be ordered to die by a court acting in the exclusive interests of the powerful euthanasia lobby in the United States. Euthanasia extremists have been searching for a precedent-setting case in which to drive more deeply into our dreadful culture of death the piercing spike of state-mandated killing, and now we have arrived at the eleventh hour. May God have mercy on Terri’s soul and the souls of all those who would be her murderers. The judgment seat of God will not be like the courtroom of Judge George Greer. God will demand an accounting for innocent blood.

The Human Life International network of pro-life, pro-family advocates around the world categorically rejects the multiple acts of judicial activism by which this injustice has advanced so far already, and we repudiate the cowardly exercise of raw power and hatred that is incarnate in the campaign of husband Michael Schiavo and his legal team to kill a precious child of God.

We commend and pray for the valiant parents of Terri Schindler-Schiavo, Robert and Mary Schindler, their heroic lawyers and the many, many saints who are defending Terri’s life in Florida with passion and truth. We also call on all persons of good will in the world to pray for justice for Terri who is at the mercy of the court today, and we ask that this and similar injustices may never be perpetrated upon any human being on the face of the earth, born or unborn. May the Lord hear our prayer!
